We all have those times in life where we don’t know how to react to a situation. Do we smile and nod, say something, or simply not respond at all. What to do in that awkward situation is the largest decision in life. Your don’t want to make the wrong decision but sometimes you yourself will get hurt if you do the right thing. Its all about balance in you’re life and whether you protect others or protect yourself. Its always the same comparison you will have to think in your head every time you come across this type of situation. I haven’t personally been in this situation that often lately until now. But you will most likely always pick the decision to protect your friends because after all, they are your best friends. I am facing this so called confrontation in my head a lot more in college as I am running into different situations more than usual. That leads me to my next point, sometimes you just have to let go. Whether it just be not worrying about a situation or having faith that things will go the right way, you have to learn to let go. I was raised partly by my grandmother. Both my parents were in the picture but they worked a lot so I spent most of my time with my grandma. When I was 15 I got into a fight with her and for the first time I just kinda left the house. At that point in time, I was a sophomore in high school and I thought that would be the best thing in that situation. I went to school and then spent the rest of the day with my cousin. It wasn’t the ideal situation but it worked at the time. By the end of my sophomore year, I was forced to go there every day due to some dumb decisions throughout the year. I truly wish that I could change some of the things that I did and said but unfortunately I cant.We all make decisions we later regret, but life is about learning from those things and moving on. Life tends to be a lot like music. You have to learn from your mistakes and grow from them. No matter how hard life gets, you just have to ignore everything going on in the world and remember that everything happens for a reason and life will get better. Everyone
